Motorola and Google working on direct-to-consumer phone
During its earnings call today, Motorola said that it was working with Google on a device that will be sold directly to consumers, and not through a carrier.
The company did not give any details on when it would be released. We suspect it will be sold online by Google in a similar fashion as the Android-powered Google Nexus One, made by HTC.
